After hearing so much about this shop from so many people, including fellow bloggers, we decided this morning to take a ride to Wilton, New Hampshire to visit White Home Collections. Let me tell you....we were NOT disappointed.
I bought this cute little pail because of the design on the front. I think it needs something stenciled in the middle of it....
Oh boy... this is an over-sized (nearly 2 1/2 feet tall) vintage flour sifter from a Hoosier that they turned upside down atop an electric candle - look at how awesome it is. I didn't buy it because I wasn't sure where I had room for it and then (and of course) half way home I thought how good it would look on my front stoop at Christmas time. I can see it now.... sitting on top of an old stool or chair, surrounded by winter greens and berries....sigh....
The putty color of this stool with it's canvas top caught my eye immediately. It looks so good against the white painted floor. I didn't buy it but sure did admire it for quite some time.
I bought these two lampshades and they're already out in my potting shed - one on a lamp and the other is adorning the top of an old bird cage. The cement bee skep didn't make the cut despite the fact that I went back to it again and again.
If this were a full size chair (it's child-size) I would have snatched it up for sure. Love, love, love the cushion!
It looks and sounds like a wonderful place. I liked your cute pail, and that hoosier sifter was a very creative idea. I've done that before, and then gone back, only to find the item gone.
