Lamp Shade re-do Number Two....

I think I like this look better than the black numbered squares...

Perhaps my Mother in Law was right... too many numbers going on in my dining area (yes...I value her opinion - and you know why...she's honest!)

I hot glued sand dollars onto the muslin squares and then hand basted them onto the shade (just in case I change my mind again)


They're so cute and beachy and WHITE! :)

    too funny...r.e. your MIL...but they really are "always right." the shade loos even more gorgeous embellished with the sand dollars. what a great idea! J'adore everything you do as always! TFS! :)

    Mother-in-laws really are wonderful. I love mine to bits! Although I do like the numbers I have to admit that the sand dollars is a much prettier look. You always have beautiful ideas, I am jealous!!

    Love how you changed up the lamp, Diane! I love both options, actually, as the shade even without the embellishments looks great on the lamp. Very pretty.
