A Marriage of Sorts....

I've had this mirror hanging in my kitchen area for quite some time

and I've never been all that crazy with the finish (gold with a white wash)

and then... while out shopping at Jo-Ann Fabrics I came across this French flower basket

so naturally I bought it.... along with some pretty faux flowers to fill it

Loved how it turned out and knew it would look great hanging on that mirror... once I painted it white of course!

So I promptly gave it my Chantilly Lace paint job

And they're living happily ever after....

I'm happy too!

  7. It looks beautiful. I have a picture frame almost exactly like it but gold, so that's what it will look like white. I have painting to do.

  11. Because a few have asked.... My "Chantilly Lace paint job" was nothing more than painting the mirror with Benjamin Moore's Chantilly Lace #OC-65 flat white paint and then sanding it over in spots for a shabby effect.

  12. Can't go wrong with the Chantilly Lace treatment!" I use this color on everything and I'm glad that you are trying it out too.

I love your mirror and that basket is the cutest ever. It looks like a small version of the vintage ammo basket that I found bought from a dealer.

    Very pretty.
