Every Girl Needs a Little Black Dress...

I bought two (in different styles)..... and just as I would do when choosing between two dress styles.....I held them up to my husband and asked "which one?"

And how great was it that he just so happened??? to choose the one I liked best! :)

A perfect fit!!!

For the birds....

I walked through the doors of a shop advertising "moving / everything must go" and had this darling wire cloche (complete with the tiny bird nest and eggs on top) in my arms within minutes.

I think these little cuties I have out in my potting shed were singing out for it...

Yup, p-e-r-f-e-c-t fit!

I'd say they look pretty happy! :)

Although I didn't spend a dime....

I had a great time browsing the booths at the Brimfield Antique Show and snapping some quick pics of just a few of the many items that caught my eye. Enjoy!

It's what you make of it....

I bought this at Home Goods the other day - it was in the kitchen section so I suppose it was intended to hold wooden spoons, wisks and such. My intention was to use it to hold pens and pencils on my desk but once I got it home I thought differently.

I still had more of those little terracotta pot napkin rings (see my prior post) and always have plenty of votive candles on hand....so why not?

And the tags that I bought from Etsy and was wondering what to do with them (two posts ago).... well, I'm no longer wondering!! :)

White iron in the rough...

While shopping at Medway Mill Antiques I came across this white iron planter and thought it would look great on my dining room table with a bottle of wine in the middle surrounded by small potted plants.

When I got it home I tried out my wine bottle idea but the wine bottle looked "lost" so instead I inserted a potted plant of ivy and liked that look much better. For the six surrounding holders I placed votive candles into small white washed terracotta napkin holders and there you have it.

To my delight, a few sprigs of the ivy were just long enough to wrap around the tall arch of the planter. Love the look.....reminds me of the types of planters I see on a few of the Swedish blogs that I follow..... Lilla Blanka being one of my favs.
