Brimfield however was a different story.
Most of the fields were flooded out and the one we went their specifically to see on Thursday (May's field) didn't even open.

We talked to a few folks who said there were some great bargains because dealers were in a rush to clear their inventory before more damage was done. I don't know...we just couldn't see capitalizing on the misfortunes of others so we left.
And on the way home we stopped at HomeGoods....
We may not have got a bargain but sometimes that's not what it's all about.

Don't you just love the cool things they sell?? I am hooked on that store!!!!!!!!!!
Wow. That is so sad about Brimfield. I'm sure it was a fantastic event. Rain is one thing buy flooding is another. My heart goes out to them.
Those are some cool items from HG, though. I'm glad you got to do some shopping anyway!
Have a joyful week!

That rings such a bell with me - I know I shouldn't view it this way, but when I bought my house two years ago, I refused to look at foreclosed properties, even though I knew they were much cheaper than other housing - it just felt morally wrong to buy a house that someone else had lost. :(
I'm glad that you were able to stop at Home Goods, though - I've heard lots of good things about that store, but there isn't one near me. :(
almost went to Brim on Friday but changed my mind. oh my..how sad for all those vendors! happy you were able to enjoy a trip to Home Goods though! gotta love THAT place on ANY day! ;)
Loving your HG finds Diane (I need a fix soon)!
Too bad about Brimfield...I heard it was a mudbowl!
Wow, I was at Brimfield last year. So sad about the flooding. BTW, I love your Home Goods finds!
Diane,
You always do sooo wonderful at Home Goods. As far as Shabby Fifi...she's on Fall River Ave in Seekonk. Check out this piece on her shop

I decided to go on Friday and it was a lot better. I heard that Quaker Acres was not as flooded.
I agree with you to take advantage of some of the vendors leaves a bad taste in my mouth too.

Wow . . . I can't imagine being a flooded vendor.
That does not look like fun.
Nice found treasures. It's always fun to shop Home Goods.
