Isn't that always the way....

There I was....boasting about how I was going to the White Home Market and I was going to buy all this awesome stuff and then come home and post about all my awesome stuff....

And it turns out...this is all we came home with and it isn't even for ME...it's my husband's awesome find. Yes, I'm jealous...not of the piece but the fact that he scored and I didn't!

It was crazy there, like the Running of The Brides sale at Filene's Basement. We got there a half hour after it opened and most of what I call "the good stuff" was already in someone's hands or marked hold or sold. I pretty much walked around in circles, mouth hanging open and a look of "What the..." on my face!

Not to worry though...we stopped at a couple of other places and I got a few small things. I'll take pics and post as soon as I'm done sulking! :)

I don't blame you in the slightest for sulking. There's nothing worse than knowing you're sure to find some great things, only to miss out. Just the fact that it was called White Home Market would have me convinced. Can't wait to see what you did get, I'm sure I'll be impressed.

Cheers,

Oh Diane, I feel your pain. My husband and I went to preview and auction today in order to be prepared to go back tonight. But alas...there really wasn't much there and we were very disappointed...maybe next week. I am happy for you that you did get a few odds and ends. I am looking forward to seeing the pics:o)

I've been to sales like that and it's so disappointing! I love your husband's find though! Just found your blog and it's great! :)

Oh no, I am sorry! Nothing irritates me more other than it being so expensive that there is no way I would ever be able to afford it. I love your hubby's find though and can't wait to see what you picked up!

Oh no!! Just one half hour after they opened!
Everyone must have been waiting to get in and started grabbing things left and right. Sounds like the estate sales around here.

Sorry you didn't find anything, but there's always next time.

What a bummer but hubby did you proud. I've been in your shoes before when I used to go to my friends open house. I spent all my time looking at what everyone else got. When she started giving everyone bags to put there things in it wasn't so painful.

Can't wait to see your other finds!
Thanks for the email the other morning....meant to write back.

Oh Diane, I can imagine the frustration! I was so excited for you when I saw your previous post. At least you got to find some other treasures on your way home. I look forward to seeing them,
Susan
